When it comes to skincare, simplicity is key! I've been using my friend Meredith's product, Nucifera, and it has honestly become the 1 essential beauty product I can't live without! I use it as a face wash, makeup remover, eye cream, split end tamer & full body massage balm (& even sometimes a lubricant!!) This is hands down the best all-in-one natural beauty product that I have ever come across and is also gently scented with the most heavenly combination of oils. I never thought coconut products could get this good!! Here's a bit from Meredith on beauty, the benefits, and a face wash method that will literally change your skin. Enjoy!
"Taking joy in living is a woman's best cosmetic."
That... and a little bit of coconut.
M | We all know that beauty is only skin deep and that external attractiveness has very little to do with internal goodness or essential quality. What goes on with our skin is often a reflection of what is happening to our bodies on the inside. The skin is regularly overlooked, but it is one of the largest organs in our body. It took me a long time to understand the importance of using only natural skincare; what gets on the skin gets inside the body. I now feel repulsed when I look at the ingredients in most skincare. If ever I do use something that is less than natural, I can actually feel the toxic weight on my body; I’m now so in tune with my skin that I can tell it is dry because of stress or hormones and more hypersensitive during times when I am more emotionally sensitive. If you listen to your body, it will tell you everything that you need to know. Finding joy in life is the way to glow—so to that extent, what happens on the inside is reflected on the outside.
Despite how it may appear, the cosmetic industry is very dirty—rampant with synthetic dyes, fragrances, stabilizers, and animal cruelty. There is substantial evidence proving that what we put on our bodies can be harmful and even toxic. The irony behind much of the cosmetic industry is that it is so heavily marketed to women—yet what makes us beautiful may actually contribute to the rise of breast cancer, birth defects, and infertility. When you start to educate yourself about the toxicity that is in a simple jar of lotion, you’ll probably be more empowered to consider and create what goes on your body.
Coconut oil is a cosmetic phenomenon. The options are endless, and they really work.
Nucifera is a combination of the most potent plant-based oils that I have found, that I love, and that work wonders for me. The formula is designed to be easily absorbed and non-greasy. These oils moisturize without clogging your pores, they reduce inflammation, and they have natural antioxidants to protect your skin from external damage. They even skin tone, boost circulation and offer antibacterial properties to cleanse.
